Definition of Sexual Harassment
“Sexual harassment” is behavior characterized by the making of unwelcome and inappropriate sexual remarks or physical advances in a social situation.
- It is unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature that makes a person feel upset, scared, offended or humiliated.
- It can involve one or more incidents, and actions constituting harassment may be physical, verbal and non-verbal.
- It can occur between people of the same gender – if the conduct is sexual in nature yet unwanted and unwelcome by the recipient, then the perpetrator is committing sexual harassment.
Complaint Procedure
