Westside Ride 2.0
Intermediate to Advanced ride that will meet at 7:30 on the westside of Ocean at San Vicente. We will roll out by 745am. In most cases we will head up the coast towards Malibu and the Canyons of the Santa Monica Mtns. The basic outline of the workouts will be Power based using time and wattage based intervals. There will be lots climbing and high intensity intervals on the majority of the rides. Ride durations will be between 3 to 4 hours and 50 to 70 miles in length. 2015 plan to build to end of season 70.3 distance races.
**There will be field trips from time to time to the San Gabriel Mtns to ride GMR to Mt Baldy and or Angeles Crest Hwy to Mt Wilson**
Optional Run: Amalfi Loop 5.9 miles rolling hills after most rides. I will send a mid week posting on the LA Tri Club website / LA Tri Club Facebook page for the upcoming Saturday Ride plan.
Ride Rules and expectations: * Safety First: No Group Aerobar riding. When there are multiple riders: the lead rider rides aero, following riders on base bars or at least 4 bike lengths back to use Aerobars. * Bring your flat kit, and be able to change your own flat. Have your bike in safe working condition. * This is NOT a "NO Drop Ride" beginner ride. There will only be 1 maybe 2 for longer rides rest / bathroom stops per ride.
