This is not a fancy event, it is a genuine, old fashion ultra run. It is a low key, hard ass, 50 mile endurance run. Starting at 6:00 A.M. on SUNDAY, November 24, 2013 at the beautiful Rancho Oso Guest Ranch and Resort on Paradise Road in Santa Barbara. The out and back course is all of the original Red Rock course with an additional five miles of trail added to the first and last part of the run. Your registration fee includes, finishers award, custom shirt, awards to top male and female overall. As always, the course marking will be minimal but adequate. Aid on course will also be minimal but adequate. Rancho Oso Guest Ranch offers many amenities including parking, group camping, real restrooms, hot showers, restaurants, general store, swimming pool and more! Ideal family location and dog friendly. Join us on Saturday afternoon / evening for our campfire and group camping. Rancho Oso camping/day use fee is $20.00 per runner. This fee is payable upon arrive at Rancho Oso and this fee is not optional. Your registration fee does not include the Rancho Oso fee. If you do not agree with the Rancho Oso fee - please do not come to this event - everyone who enters the park must pay - it is not an option. As in the past, this event will fill quickly.
