UCLA IronBruin Triathlon
The UCLA Iron Bruin is sprint triathlon held annually on the campus of UCLA. The triathlon is a time-trial start, where competitors start individually on a steady interval. Competitors then proceed to snake-swim 8 laps through the pool (400m) and then hop onto the bike course. After completing 4 laps on the bike (13.5 mi), competitors run a 5K to the finish. A portion of the proceeds from the event be donated to The C.A.R.E. Foundation. Other than a service to the community, the purpose of this race is to serve as a fun, but challenging, race in the West Coast Collegiate Triathlon Conference (WCCTC) race series. We hope to draw athletes in from as many schools as possible to race with us on our campus.
