SLO GranFondo
The 2012 SLO GranFondo is a long-distance, mass participation cycling event that welcomes riders of all abilities to the diverse riding landscape of California’s Central Coast. The SLO GranFondo offers four fully-supported routes to suit the recreational rider or the seasoned competitor. Enjoy beautiful coastline, green rolling hills, wine country and a chance to ride with the pros!
All proceeds from the SLO GranFondo will equally support ALPHA and the Hearst Cancer Resource Center at French Hospital Medical Center, two San Luis Obispo County not-for-profit organizations. The SLO GranFondo is a charity event. All proceeds benefit two local not-for-profit organizations supporting individuals living with cancer and children.
100 miles on a challenging ride from San Luis Obispo up the beautiful northern coast to Hearst Castle and back. If you are planning on doing this ride, you need to be fit. You will be accompanied by top riders from the pro circuit who will lead the way on a beautiful and equally challenging course.
