Endurance athlete Jason Lester partnered with Nike and is currently running and biking 4,800 miles cross country to relay the message of committing to a Better World. He started his adventure on March 19th at Niketown New York and is making his way to Eugene, OR where he will end his journey running around Hayward Field during the Olympic Trials. EPIC! Jason will be in LA on June 2 – 4 where he will visit the Nike stores at Citadel, The Grove, NTLA, and Santa Monica. Each store is hosting a welcome party and a send off party where the community and Nike employees have a chance to interact with Jason and run 1.8 miles with him at each location. I had the opportunity to fly out to South Carolina with Jason and run 10 mile with him along his journey. It was the most amazing experience, and Jason kept talking about how badly he wanted to be in LA. His birthday is June 1st, and we want to make his LA experience AMAZING!!!!!! Here is the schedule of events: June 2 – The Grove ARRIVE @ 10AM (Run 1.82 miles in) June 3 – Depart The Grove @ 7AM (Run 1.82 miles out) June 3 – ARRIVE at SM @ 10AM (run 1.82 miles in) – BEACH PARTY TO FOLLOW June 4 – Depart SM @7AM 9(Run 1.8 miles out) We are looking for volunteers to come support at EACH event, come to one come to all! It would be great to have the LA Tri Club support Jason Lester!
