This week we'll be back riding PV hills. Sharon is out of town this weekend so Tina will be your fearless leader this week. We'll be joining the Palos Verdes ride on the LA TriClub calendar: http://www.latriclub.com/resources/event_detail.php?id=1902 That ride is an all-levels ride led by Fory Horio, a terrific guy who also leads the Redondo Beach open water swims on Sundays. If you're intermediate or advanced, feel free to blend in with the rest of his group. If this is your first time there, I'll be taking a group around the loop, re-grouping at the turns and counting noses so nobody gets dropped. Arrive at: 7:10 a.m., or early enough to find the place, set up your bike and meet near the fountain in the Malaga Cove Plaza, a small shopping center on Palos Verdes Drive West between Via Corta, Via Chico and Malaga Lane. If this is your first time going there, please do get there early so you don't have to rush. This group leaves promptly. Ride at: 7:30 a.m. What: Palos Verdes loop ride (22-mile loop) -- Different kinds of hills, some short and steep, some long and rolling, and a long set of switchbacks. This is one of the best rides in Southern California, you will be impressed with yourself that you did it. I'll be riding an additional 10 miles or so if anyone wants to do a lttle bit more mileage after we finish the loop.
