Bakersfield Triathlon

With several events to choose from, everyone in the family can participate. The Long Course triathlon is legendary, boasting a rugged 15K run over "Hang Glider Hill" and "Bastard Hill." After this run, every other triathlon will seem flat. The ride has a significant climb that is repeated twice to complete 40K. The swim is in speed-boat-fast Lake Ming and promises to be the only true flat part of the race. Races include the Long Course, Sprint Course, Kids Triathlon, and 5K Fun Run to give everyone a chance to show what they've got. Teams of 2 or 3 persons are welcome too. Look for Collegiate competition as part of the Sprint Course and chip timing for quick, accurate results
