The Strawberry Fields Multisport Festival has long been regarded as the annual "kick off" event for the west coast triathlon racing season. However, 2008 will mark the inaugural year of the event's new calendar date, moving from March to July 20th. The festival weekend of events will include a Sprint distance Triathlon & Duathlon, a new Olympic Distance race, and will host a USAT Youth & Junior Elite Cup event. All events, are USAT Sanctioned, very fast and flat courses, winding through the scenic strawberry fields and beautiful beaches of Oxnard. Though it has a new date and distance, athletes and spectators will still find the same family-friendly environment blended with endorphin-fueled excitement. The array of events, festival atmosphere and spectacular racing make this event a must "add to the calendar" for all new and experienced multi-sport athletes alike. Race, cheer, party, or podium, it will be a weekend to remember!
