Ocean Swim. Meet at Manhattan Beach pier. PLEASE BRING BRIGHT COLORED CAPS. Walk South 1 mile or more and swim back parallel to shore. Should swim with others to keep track. You should be comfortable with the full distance in the pool and with surf.
We meet right at the base of the pier, leave our things at the Guard Station just north of the pier and walk south to Guard Station No. 28 near the BIG yellow house) or further (sometimes to Sta. 22 (11/2 miles) or Hermosa Pier (2 miles)) and swim back.
