How did you hear about LA Tri Club?

I’ve seen the LA Tri Club group at Tower 26 in Santa Monica & have also seen the booths at the various races I’ve done.

What got you interested in triathlon?

Triathlon appealed to me after completing a handful of marathons.  The 26 miles just got monotonous & I wanted to try the Multisport race since it looked fun.

What was your first Triathlon?
My very first Tri was the Wildflower Triathlon up near Lake San Antonio in 2008 & I had the best experience.  It was such a fun event & got me hooked.

What is your favorite race and why?
So far, my favorite has been the Malibu Tri.  The race is so well organized & it’s hard to beat the scenery.

If you could pick three MUST HAVES / MUST DO'S on race day morning, what are they?
1. Protein bar
2. Little bit of coffee
3. Lots of time to stretch & mellow out

Do you have any plans for more races in the near future?
Yes!  I’m currently signed up for the Santa Cruz 70.3 in September

What do you do outside of your training?
For work, I’m currently in Film/TV production but when I’m not working, I surf, hit the gym, hike, snowboard, etc.

What has been the most difficult thing for you personally about training for triathlons?
Well, it used to be the swimming but I got that worked out this past race I did. At this point, it’s probably getting in the proper amount of training to really maximize my potential on race day.

Do you know anyone else that is currently a member of LATC? If yes, who?!
I don’t & am looking forward to meeting some like-minded people
