Membership in the LA Tri Club does have its privileges.  And with these privileges comes the need, a duty, to mentor the up and coming swimmers and triathletes. Disadvantaged children of LA County may never get the chance to enjoy the water, not to mention become a triathlete if they die of drowning in one of our many pools, lakes or the Pacific Ocean.  Drowning is the #1 killer of children under the age of 14 in LA County, and in the top 2 or 3 for all of California. Since the first swim challenge in 2011, we have raised more than $98,000 and taught 3,240 children how to swim.

Help us save the lives of disadvantaged children right here in LA Country, and make your difference by signing up for a 30, 60 or 90 minutes swim on Sunday, May 22, an earlier date this year, at the Club's #1 fundraiser, the Coast 2 Coast Swim Challenge, at the Culver City Plunge.

Can you answer yes to 2 of these 3 questions?

1. Will you be in town on Sunday, May 22?
2. Can you swim?
3. Would it make you feel good to save a child's life?

If you answered "yes" to two or more of these questions, join me and other friends and sign up today for this year's Coast to Coast Swim Challenge.  If you are injured and can't swim, please make a donation and volunteer.  Spread the word and bring along a family member and friend to join in the fun. Make it a meet-up or a date!  We would like to increase our swimmers by 50% and need your help so bring a swim buddy!

Please take 5 minutes now or sometime today and register nd if you need another reason, as an added bonus, we will once again have world class coaching on deck that will work on your form and shave time off of each lap!

Join LATC members for a few hours of fun on Sunday, May 22 and help save a life!
