Triathlon can be intimidating for the beginner (aka "newbie") triathlete. Solid training and access to the right information will help smooth the transition from "couch potato" to triathlete! 

Below you'll find answers to some of the most basic triathlon related questions. Should you have questions that are unanswered below, try searching the LA Tri Club email archive - your question will undoubtedly have been asked / answered via email at least once before. Of course, you can always send an email to the Club, where you'll surely be offered all sorts of insight / advice from the LA Tri Club's experienced and active triathletes.

The most important piece of information for the newbie is to HAVE FUN and enjoy the opportunity that we all have to push our body and our mind. Triathlon is more than just a race, it's a lifestyle.
