Coast 2 Coast Swim Challenge

Now in its second year, The Coast 2 Coast Swim Challenge is a one-of-a-kind aquatic fundraiser that will unite SoCal Athletes to Promote Water Safety and Provide Free Swim Lessons for Underserved Local Kids. THE FIRST 200 REGISTRANTS WILL RECEIVE FREE SWIM GOGGLES COURTESY OF ZOGG'S! The 2011 Coast2Coast Swim Challenge raised more than $21,000, with 100% of these proceeds enabling 500 kids in Compton, South Los Angeles and Culver City to learn how to swim! Among the participants in the 2012 event will be 2011’s swim lesson recipients; new swimmers who are now able to “swim it forward” to help other disadvantaged kids. REGISTER NOW to join them in the swim to save lives! We welcome swimmers of all ages and abilities. You can choose to sign up for one or more 30-minute stages and you’ll receive a lane assignment with swimmers of similar speed. If you’re up for an even bigger challenge, become a Launcher or Closer — see registration page for complete details. The Coast2Coast Swim Challenge also gives you a chance to work out with elite coaches who will be on deck throughout the day. The day’s festivities promise to be better than last year and will include prize drawings, food trucks, sponsor booths, a fitness expo and more.

The Coast2Coast Swim Challenge takes place on Sunday, May 20, 2012 from 5 a.m. to midnight at the Culver City Plunge aquatic center located at 4175 Overland Avenue, Culver City. LA Tri Club members will be joined by professional athletes, swimmers from local high school and college teams, as well as friends and family, for this non-stop marathon of lap swimming.
